Creating a campaign with extensive content requires a foundational knowledge of design principles and elements to identify the most efficient and effective way to communicate the campaigns message.
Workplace Giving Campaigns are the lifeblood of United Way of San Joaquin County (UWSJC). UWSJC's mission is to mobilizing the caring power of community and through their Workplace Giving Campaigns, employers within the community and their employees participate in payroll deduction campaigns. These campaigns allow community members to take an active role in supporting local nonprofits.
The theme of 2021–2022 campaign season was—"The Community Chest, Going Back to Why We Started." The concept stems from the original purpose of United Way. In the original glory of United Way Worldwide, the organization was once known as the Community Chest—with the purpose of creating a trusted fund for community members to donate to that would be redirected back to local nonprofits. The campaign required an extensive amount of materials, from stickers, to handouts, pledge forms, banners and more, all to communicate the same message—going back to the why of giving.
